Crooked Hammock Brewery will open it’s first South Carolina location in Barefoot Landing next spring, the Delaware-based company announced Monday.
The restaurant, brewery and backyard beer garden will operate from a lakeside location.
The North Myrtle Beach venue is the brewery’s third venue, and the first to operate outside of Delaware.
“We chose the Myrtle Beach area as an ideal spot to set up a local brewery and we can’t wait to kick things off next spring,” said owner Rich Garrahan.
“Crooked Hammock Brewery will proudly serve locally brewed beers in a unique environment that lends itself to creating special memories while sharing old stories and enjoying new conversations in an open-aired setting,” Garrahan said.
In keeping with the family atmosphere of Barefoot Landing, pets are welcome and the restaurant will feature a playground for kids, bocce ball courts and corn hole.
Tired shoppers can take a break in the hammocks with a beer, and a fire pit will add a cozy evening atmosphere.
The menu features backyard cookout-inspired food including ribs, giant Bavarian pretzels served with beer mustard, and savory sides such as jalapeño and cheddar cornbread.
“Crooked Hammock, complete with a working brewery, full-service restaurant, and retail store, will offer our guests an experience they can’t find anywhere else on the Grand Strand,” Chad E. Carlson, executive vice president of the commercial division at Burroughs & Chapin.
“We fully anticipate Crooked Hammock to become a favorite place for locals and tourists alike,” Carlson said.
