Blue Crabs and Old Bay spice, that’s what you need to know about Little River’s festival

Little River is hosting its 37th Annual World Famous Blue Crab Festival this weekend along the historic waterfront, featuring live music, hundreds of arts and crafts, and of course, crabs.

Although the weather forecast looks sketchy for Saturday and Sunday, organizers say it will be a rain-or-shine event.

“While we will always monitor weather for safety concerns, there are no plans to cancel the event,” the event’s website said.

“Bring your family and friends to enjoy fresh, local seafood from a waterfront restaurant or get your favorite festival food fix. Enjoy scenic views, live entertainment, and shop for a unique souvenir or gift from a crafter. A kids zone will offer a variety of entertainment and activities,” the website said.

Tickets for the event near Myrtle Beach are $5, children ages 12 and under get in for free. The festival hours are 9 a.m. through 6 p.m.
